A CIPFA qualified and experienced CIPFA accountant with a wide range of local government experience in financial management, budget setting and accounts closure. He is an experienced finance manager who is used to creating budgets and establishing budgetary control using a variety of financial management computer systems. At Dover DC, he co-ordinated the Council’s revenue budget and prepared Cabinet reports, and at Surrey Heath BC, he assisted with establishing core accountancy procedures and was responsible for monthly management accountancy routines, reconciliations and reports. In addition, a number of specific projects were completed from an in depth review of the compilation and presentation of the authority's Statement of Accounts to a joint investigation, with internal audit, of a particular activity of the Council.
